Your Puerto Rico vacation starts with a flight into San Juan. You’ll stay here for 2 nights, so settle into your hotel before heading out to explore this colorful city.
Where to stay: Enjoy ocean views from Fairmont El San Juan Hotel in Isla Verde, a 10-minute drive from the airport, or stay in the heart of Old San Juan at 352 Guest House, which offers free breakfast.
Transportation: To get around the city you won’t need to drive, as Old San Juan has a free trolley service, and taxis and public buses are easily accessible. You’ll also you’ll find dedicated cycling lanes across the city. However, we do recommend picking up a rental car at the airport for daytrips to the surrounding area. You can combine car rental, flights and hotels with our Puerto Rico package deals.
It’s an hour’s drive east to the pristine beaches, nature reserves and marinas of Fajardo where’ll you stay overnight.
